Robert W. "Bob" Geller, the District 16 candidate for Georgia House of Representatives, is a long-time member of the Libertarian Party, having worked for the election of Scott McLaughlin in the gubernatorial election in NC, in 1992. He ran for Town Council of Morehead City, NC, in 1993 and 1995, and ran for the State House of North Carolina in 1996. In 1997, Bob and his wife, Nancy, moved to Georgia to be near to their three children and five grandchildren. He brought with him his Libertarian ethics and opinions, and found that Cherokee County has only one functional political party. In 1998, Bob helped put together the Cherokee-Pickens Libertarian Party, and was elected to chair that organization. He works for Home Depot in Canton, GA, and lives in Holly Springs, where he sits on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Bob Geller is a gun owner and reloader, and is against gun control of any kind for law-abiding citizens. He is for free speech of all kinds, especially on the internet. He is also deeply against the extremely high tax rates in the United States. "We fought a Revolution over a tax rate of about 3%. Now half of our income goes to finance a government out of control! We have to move NOW to return our government to a position of serving us rather than ruling us. The Republicrats will never vote to reduce their power. I want to return the power to the citizens."
