The Libertarian Party of Hall County held its annual convention last evening (03-28-01).

We started by conducting business matters such as electing officers to serve one year terms. Melissa Goldsberry was elected Chairman, Roger Goldsberry Vice Chairman, Bob Woodworth Secretary and Jim Tiller Treasurer.

Mark Mosley, Executive Director Georgia Libertarian Party, spoke at length about the Libertarian Party's efforts nationwide to influence government actions. He also mentioned that the Georgia Party's growth during the past year has outpaced the rest of the nation.

Bob Woodworth, from Americans For Fair Taxation, spoke about the relationship between Libertarians and the movement for tax reform. Mr. Woodworth is currently being booked around Hall, Forsyth and Gwinnett Counties for speaking engagements.

Sidney's Steakhouse in Oakwood graciously provided their conference room for the meeting.
